Drag in the Document window with the Type tool selected to add fresh placeholder text to the document. This placeholder text is referred to as area type. Type to replace the placeholder text, which is chosen by default. Text documents (RTF, Word, TXT, and so on) may be placed in a text object (File > Place).
Step 1:
Drag a text object’s corner to resize it and wrap the text inside it. Overset text is text that does not fit in the text object and is denoted by a red + in the lower-right corner of the frame.
Step 2:
Using the Selection tool, reposition the text object.
Step 3:
To pick a text object, use the Selection tool and click.
Step 4
To transform the text to editable paths, go to Type > Create Outlines.
Step 5:
To move the letters individually, click the Ungroup option in the Properties window.
Step 6:
Drag each letter individually using the Selection tool.
Step 7:
To pick anchor points, use the Direct Selection tool and drag over a portion of a letter.
Step 8:
Drag one of the chosen anchor points to reshape a letter and shift all selected anchor points.
