Discover how simple it is to create eye-catching drawings with basic vector forms that you can modify, mix, and colour in Adobe Illustrator.
Step 1:
Open Adobe Illustrator and your file.
Step 2:
Illustrator’s vector Shape tools enable you to create a range of basic forms. Select the Rectangle tool by pressing and holding the Rectangle tool to see all the Shape tools. Draw a rectangle on the artboard by dragging. While dragging, keep an eye out for a diagonal magenta guide that depicts a perfect square.
Step 3:
Select other shapes to draw polygons, squares, circles, etc.
Step 4:
To colour an object, either a fill colour, a stroke colour, or both are assigned. Similar to colouring in a book, a fill colourizes the region inside a route or form, while a stroke defines it.
Step 5:
Utilize the Toolbar’s Fill and Stroke colour boxes – you modify them one at a time, and the highlight indicates which box is active. Double-click an object’s Fill or Stroke colour box.
That’s how you add shapes and colour in Adobe Illustrator. Check out more of our tutorials to learn more.
