The most basic use of a clipping mask is to merge two levels into one. The top layer will have a distinct form that is unique from the bottom picture with which you want to combine it. You may make it seem as though one picture is within another by choosing a piece of your bottom layer to serve as the mask. Let’s see how you use a clipping mask to merge two images in Adobe Photoshop.
Step 1:
Open the images you want to merge in different layers.
Step 2:
Control + Click on the first layer mask… loads it as a selection
Step 3:
Control + Shift + Click adds the second layer mask to the selection.
Step 4:
To make a new layer mask, click Enter.
Voilà! You have successfully merged two images through clipping mask. Make sure to check out the video for detailed tutorial of this description.
