As we all know, layers can sometimes be confusing for a newbie in Photoshop. The best thing in this software is the freedom it provides to its users. In Adobe Photoshop, you can easily rename the group layers to custom names so you can identify them with ease. Not only that, but you have many options to manipulate the layers and create a unified image. In this tutorial I will teach you as such.
Step 1
Create a new document with your desired dimensions.
Step 2
Place multiple images through which you want to create a unified image.
Step 3
Select multiple layers by Ctrl+ clicking on the layers you want to group together.
Step 4
Press Ctrl + G and a group of the layers you selected will be created.
Step 5
Press CTRL + G again on the group to disband it into simple layers.
Step 6
You can click and drag layers to add to your created groups.
Step 7
If you want to control the opacity of your layer, select the respective layer and control the opacity from the top-right on the layer panel.
And that’s it! You’re all set for creating group layers and controlling their opacities. Check out more of our videos to learn about graphic design programs like Adobe Photoshop.
