Adding personalised images in magazines, posters, and brochures is crucial. You can’t expect to rely on a single program for creating beautiful graphic design. So, you will be required to create and edit pictures in software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and import them in InDesign for your project. In this tutorial we will teach you how to import images in Adobe InDesign.
Step 1:
Click on ‘File’ on the top panel and navigate to ‘Place’. (You can also use the shortcut Ctrl + D on Windows)
Step 2:
Select the image you want to add and press ‘Enter’.
Step 3:
Click and drag where you want your selected image to appear on the page, keeping the boundaries of your page under consideration.
Step 4:
If your image appears out of the boundaries, you can easily click and drag it back into the limits.
Step 5:
You can also right-click on the image> Fitting > Fill frame proportionally and the image will fit on its own.
Step 6:
Alternatively, you can go on the shapes button on the left panel, right click and click on ‘Place’ to find the image you want to add but in your desired shape.
