As instructed in the previous tutorial you can create a half shape and reflect it, in this tutorial we will add a thick frame to the shape on which we reflected.
Step 1:
Select the Effects tab. This is located at the very top of the window or screen. This brings up a drop-down menu.
Step 2:
Choose a path. It may be found towards the top of the Effect drop-down menu. Next to the Path choice, a pop-up window will appear.
Step 3:
Select Outline Object from the drop-down menu. This will be shown in the pop-out window. A border will appear around your content.
Step 4:
Edit your border’s thickness. To the right of the “Stroke” heading in the Appearance window, you will see a numbered box. Clicking the upward-facing arrow to the left of this number will thicken your border, while clicking the downward-facing arrow will thin it out.
