How to convert a simple shape to a frame in Adobe Photoshop?

We saw the Frame tool and the shapes. Now I want to show you how you can add a simple shape to a frame. So in the frame tool, we have just an Ellipse and rectangle, but occasionally, we want different shapes and to be able to place images into the shapes.

Step 1:

So what we can do here and take, for example, a triangle, make sure you have a fill color and with a triangle wave. Now Photoshop automatically creating a layer.

Step 2:

Now make sure you right-click where the layer name is and not the thumbnail.

Step 3:

You will find an option called converted frame. I can give a name to my frame. That’s for the example, frame one.

Step 4:

Click okay. Now I got my triangle with rounded corners as a frame, and I can go file place embedded and select any image for my documents. Click Place.

I converted to the triangle to frame the shape. In this way, you can use different shapes for different kinds of images you want to add!
