The Gradient tool is used to produce a gradual mix of various colours. You may use pre-made gradient fills or build your own. Select the appropriate region to fill in the picture. Otherwise, the gradient fill is applied to the active layer as a whole.
Step 1:
Choose the Gradient tool. (Hold down the Paint Bucket tool if it is not displayed.)
Step 2:
Choose a fill from the broad gradient sample in the choices bar:
Step 3:
To choose a preset gradient fill, click the triangle next to the sample.
Step 4:
To see the Gradient Editor, click within the example. Choose a pre-existing gradient fill or build a new gradient fill.
Step 5:
Choose an option to specify how the beginning point (where the mouse is pushed) and ending point (where the mouse is released) influence the look of the gradient.
