How To Create A Pattern Fills Text Within Text In Adobe Illustrator?

Assume you are creating a stylish poster for a movie or another event. Though Photoshop is an option, Illustrator, another of Adobe’s famous tools, may be better suited for the job. Follow the steps below to generate text with a “filled-in” pattern:

Step 1:

In Adobe Illustrator, create a new document.

Step 2:

Choose the type tool from the left-hand menu and type out your chosen text, then choose the font and font size for the text.

Step 3:

Pick “Place and select a picture” from the “File” menu to insert an image of the desired fill-in pattern.

Step 4:

Copy and paste the wording you want onto the pattern image.

Step 5:

Pick the “create outline” option from the “type” menu, then right-click and select “ungroup.”

Step 6:

Select the “pathfinder” tool, then “add to shape area” and “expand.” After you have selected the required region, right-click and choose “make clipping mask.”

Step 7:

Your text should now shift from its normal colour to the pattern of the picture over which it was put.
