The cube is a three-dimensional geometric object having six equal-sized square faces. Although it is not feasible to create a three-dimensional picture using the illustrator, a three-dimensional impression may be achieved. This cube lesson shows how to draw an orthogonal cube and a perspective cube.
Step 1:
Using the Rectangle Tool, make a new square.
Step 2:
Duplicate it to make two identical squares.
Step 3
Select the Shear Tool by clicking on the left square.
Step 4
Move the point in the upper right corner down the vertical axis. Rep with the second square.
Step 5:
Make a new square and rotate it 45 degrees.
Step 6
Expand it until its breadth equals the width of the neighbouring squares. Insert an anchor point in the top right corner of your new square and choose the free transform tool. Move the top corner down the vertical axis until it rests in the angle formed by the two neighbouring squares.
Step 7
To make it seem more like a cube, paint it while thinking about light direction.
