Learn how to use the Gradient tool to create smooth and seamless mixes. Using a gradient mask, create a seamless transition between pictures. Create a layer mask and set up the Gradient tool. In this tutorial I will help you mix gradient with image in Adobe Photoshop.
Step 1:
In the Layers panel, click the Apply layer mask button to add a layer mask to the current layer.
Step 2:
In the Toolbar, choose the Gradient tool.
Step 3:
Select the Linear gradient style from the Options menu. Check that the Reverse colours checkbox is not selected.
Step 4:
From the Options bar, open the Gradient Picker and choose the third gradient swatch from the left: a black-to-white gradient.
Step 5:
In the Layers panel, make sure the layer mask thumbnail is chosen. (Look for the highlight border around the thumbnail of the layer mask.)
