The colour range allows you to pick parts of the image by selecting a colour. You may also configure it to pick anything except the colour you have specified. Make sure the rest of the options are set to the same as mine below, with the items that need to remain coloured being the only item that is not chosen.
Step 1:
When you click OK, you will see that everything but the items that need to remain coloured has been chosen, which means we can simply convert it to black and white.
Step 2:
Go to the modification options, which are found in the layers pane or in the layer tab. When the menu appears, go to black and white and click on it. This will open a Photoshop menu where you may adjust various parameters to change the appearance of the black and white.
Step 4
There is another way to accomplish this in Photoshop that gives it a different appearance but achieves the same result. You will want to make a duplicate of your picture using the same technique as previously, and then choose the copy layer. Instead of utilising the colour range, we will utilise the magic wand tool. This is accessible through the free transform tool.
Step 5:
After you have chosen the tool, begin choosing the region surrounding the head. When using the magic wand tool, you must hold shift to pick more than one region at a time.
Step 6:
Now that you have chosen the region, you are ready to convert it to black and white, which we will accomplish in the same manner as previously. So add a black and white adjustment layer and customise it to your liking.
