How To Use Opacity To Combine Images in Adobe Photoshop?

Combining images with opacity is not a difficult task. The total opacity of a layer affects how much it obscures or exposes the layer underneath it. A 1% opacity layer looks almost transparent, while a 100% opacity layer appears totally impenetrable. Let me show you how you can tweak with opacity to combine images.

Step 1:

Create a document with your desired dimensions.

Step 2:

Add images in layers of your choice.

Step 3:

You may specify fill opacity in addition to overall opacity, which impacts layer styles and blending modes applied to a layer. Fill opacity only affects pixels, objects, or text on a layer and has no impact on the opacity of layer effects like drop shadows.

Step 4:

Select one or more layers or groups from the Layers window.

Step 5:

Change the Fill and Opacity settings. (If you choose a group, the only option is Opacity.)

Step 6:

To see all blending choices, click the Add A Layer Style button at the bottom of the Layers panel and choose Blending Options.
