Photoshop’s word for “soft edges.” is feathering. Adding a soft border around a selection is a great method to merge pictures, emphasise an item inside an image, or soften sharp edges for web graphics. This article describes two methods for feathering a picture in Photoshop.
Step 1:
Feathering a selection softens the selection’s edge. The selection may then be copied and pasted to make a new picture or placed onto an existing image to make a composite image.
Step 2:
Make your pick using a selection tool.
Step 3:
Choose Modify » Feather from the Select menu. The Feather Selection dialogue box is shown.
Step 4:
Enter your desired feather pixel value in the Feather Radius text box.
Step 5:
Press the OK button.
Now you may copy and paste your choices to a new or existing picture. I hope you found this tutorial easy to perform, check out more of our videos to learn more.
