How To Use The Grid Direct Selection Tool And Convert To Frame Options In Adobe Photoshop?

You can convert your grids and guides to frames in Adobe Photoshop through a simple method that I will teach you today:

Step 1:

First I will create a grid, click view and rulers or control/command + R depending on your OS.

Step 2:

Click and drag rulers to the document, and we can see that it’s now in pixels. Which is good if you’re a document is for web, but if not, you can right-click on the rulers in millimetres.

Step 3:
Now we can control them. Under edit> Preferences> Guides grid and slices.

Step 4:

Divide into four. Click OK. Now they got a bit smaller and if I drag I can have more control 5 millimetres, 10 millimetres and I can bring back the guide.

Step 5:

To zoom in and moved to the direct selection tool. Let’s make sure we have our anchor point exactly on the line.

Step 6

Copy the same shape control T or command T on the Mac. Right click and flip vertically. You can just select where they move through all of them and copy it.

Step 7:

To another and make sure you have also the same space here. Now we can select all of them or just few to place an image. Right-click on their name and convert frame, click OK.

And you’re set! Did you see how easy that was? Take a look at the video for a more detailed view on the occurring that just happened.
